heartbroken...

a missed or silent miscarriage can happen to anyone. after conception, a fertilised egg (ovum) implants in your uterus (womb), but, sadly, something goes wrong and the pregnancy fails. it might be that the baby doesn't develop at all and the pregnancy sac is empty, called a blighted ovum, or the baby might have begun to develop, but then failed to progress.

"YA ALLAH YA TUHAN KU".. another missed miscarriage i think is pending. 6w3d today, no heart or heartbeat on JB today. i've had mine and husband's genetic testing done, all is okay, my body isn't attacking, no clotting issues, dr's are chalking it up to just bad luck with multiple chromosome problem pg's. Am i overlooking anything?? i don't think i ovulate late, my pregnancy symptoms have all just gone away. btw, a healthy dotter (now 4 years) and i've had two more missed miscarriages since him at 8 and 6 weeks. i'm 29. =(

you don't realise anything has gone wrong. you may not have had any of the usual signs of miscarriage, such as pain or bleeding. your body may still be giving you signals that you are pregnant, although if your hormone levels are falling, those signs may lessen slightly. your breasts may feel less tender, for example.

often, the first time i'm aware anything is wrong is when i have my first ultrasound scan and are told either that the pregnancy sac is empty, or that the embryo has no heartbeat. the news will come as a great shock. it can be hard to understand or accept, and i will need time to come to terms with it. rest assured that most i've to go on to have successful pregnancies after a missed miscarriage.
